| The Order Process |
- A 16ixty representative will be assigned
to you and will assist you with every step of
the registration and setup process.
- You will be contacted by your 16ixty representative
who will provide you with:
- Application documentation
- Setup fee invoice.
- When the application documentation is completed
and payment for the setup fee is received, your
16ixty representative will submit your shortcode
number request.
- In order to setup a shortcode, the application
has to be submitted to a central body. If all
the detail provided by you meets with their
approval, a shortcode will be issued within
four days. If not, they will request additional
information or may decline the application if
it does not meet with their Terms & Conditions.
Once the shortcode has been issued, it must
be submitted for approval with each USA operator.
Each operator has its own set of requirements
which your SMS service must meet. If it does
not meet a particular requirement, you will
have to provide additional information. This
can extend the setup process considerably and
it may thus take up to four to eight weeks,
or even longer to issue your shortcode.
- As soon as your shortcode has been issued,
your 16ixty message manager will be setup, activated
and tested.
- You are now ready to send and receive SMS
messages!
